i have so many Feelings about the word ‘bitch’. i love when it’s used humorously (’i’m out here ruining my own life as always bitch’), i love when it’s reclaimed (’i’m a boss-ass bitch’), i love when my female friends call me jokingly (‘listen here bitch’), but when a man says it? sirens, warning lights. when a man calls a woman it it comes with such hatred. it’s stabbing. it’s sharp and vile and it drips misogyny. it’s funny how the word can be fine 95% of the time and the other 5% of the time it genuinely fills me with fear

Can we just talk about the fact that Rami Malek struggled much of the first half of his career by being typecast SO badly that he had to ask his agent to stop sending roles his way if they were the stereotypical  “middle eastern person = terrorist” roles. He has talked openly about how disheartening that was for him, how he saw his own peers auditioning for these roles using a fake name just to avoid being typecast, and how he hoped things would change one day…

Cut to now: He’s won a Golden Globe and he’s one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, all while standing his ground and paving the way for others in the industry who struggle with their own diverse backgrounds.

 And I am just so, so proud of my sweet baby angel.

you know, the most fucked up thing about it is that amy adams is genuinely such a humble and kindhearted person, every time she’s lost an oscar or even a golden globe or whatever else she’s been so supportive of who wins and only jokingly complains later even when she seems slightly hurt… you can tell when an actor is putting on a face when they lose, but i don’t think she does. she’s one of the best actors alive right now and they take her for granted
